My beer league team is looking for a guy. No stress if he wants to party after games.

Was bound to happen. Organizations can't look to be tolerant of illegal drug use.
Good luck in Europe, Adam.

This whole unfortunate situation explains a lot about Ruzicka's career development, for me anyway.

Cocaine numbs the brain, doubt it would make him play meaner.

Nah they can only be tolerant if the player has significant value to the organization on ice.
Jarret Stoll gets arrested with cocaine and MDMA at a Las Vegas Hotel's pool, Kings do nothing.
Evgeny Kuznetsov has a video of him in a room with cocaine lines on the table and tests positive for cocaine at the World Championships. Caps do nothing.

His contract is up at the end of the year, so releasing him now is probably more about optics.

The only mildly surprising part about any of this story is the fact he was stupid enough to publicly post that

This is why I wonder if the NHLPA will challenge it TBH.
He wasn't charged with a crime, and didn't fail a drug test.
Cocaine usage is suspected to be somewhat common amongst NHLers.
Setting precident that would allow a team to terminate a players contract for Cocaine usage without A) An arrest / charge or B) A failed drug test would open a pretty slippery slope for the NHLPA.
Because if all they need is a picture/video of a player with cocaine for a contract they want to terminate that becomes a bit of an issue.
