Goaltending woes is a very tired excuse for the flames. Good teams find a way to win and make goalies look good. Lehner and khudobin just the latest examples.
Good for Elliot. His career survived the train wreck of playing net for the Calgary flames.

Overall, maybe.
I really liked Brian Elliott as a Flame during the regular season, but in the playoffs vs the Ducks... please.
Quote:
After the first round of the 2017 playoffs: League-wide, there were 23 low danger shots that resulted in goals. 7 of those were on Elliott. No other goalie allowed more than 2.
He was TRASH against the Ducks.

It will be unbelievably hard to top Elliott's performance against Anaheim as one of the worst individual stretches of goaltending in the history of this club.
At least, it's the worst stretch that I've seen, by far. I know some people really hated Phil Sauve though, so maybe that tops it? Idk, I'll need some of my elders to weigh in on this one.

No chance that a Flames goalie has ever played worse relative to expectations.
