Oilers really like Cirelli, he’s a good two way guy who will help a lot with the PK, and can produce some points. Being at 0.50 made this an easy player to target, we’ve been focusing on getting under the cap, and it’s tight right now, so adding Cirelli makes others expendable. Tough to give up Pelletier as we thought it was cool to draft the guy the flames drafted, and we are a fan of this player, but went with the proven option here.

For me next year is a write off with the moves I made, so i figured I would trade Cirelli when his value was highest, before his entry level deal ran out.

I've tried to get Pelletier numerous times over the past year, and think Poulin will be on Crosby or Malkins wing in the next year or two lighting up the league.
