Icon31 z-Calgary (49-23-7-105) @ Los Angeles (29-40-9-67) 8:00pm (SNW)

The Flames are in the Thirty Mile Zone to take on the LA Kings at the Staples Center.

Projected starters, not confirmed at the time of posting https://leftwinglock.com/starting-goalies:
Calgary Flames - David Rittich
Los Angeles Kings – Jonathan Quick

The Flames have clinched the top spot in the Western Conference after a win last night in San Jose. Perhaps given the back to back and playoff seeding solidified we’ll be seeing more of the top players being rested and increased ice time for the bottom half of the lineup.

As for the Kings, they did shutout the Flames 3-0 in their last game, and are 5-4-1 in their last ten. While the teams are at the opposite ends of the standings, no game is an easy game in the NHL.

Overall records:
z-Calgary Flames 49-23-7-105
Los Angeles Kings 29-40-9-67

The game will be broadcast on SportsNet West, meaning my Chromecast will be getting used tonight (or more likely with the Western Conference seeding confirmed, I’ll be in bed asleep at 11:00pm Atlantic Daylight Time when the puck drops, again that’s 8:00pm Mountain).

Go Flames Go

Put in the B-squad. The hard work has been done for the season and this is a back to back. No point in putting any of the front-line players in this game. Let Jankowski run the first line with Czarnik and Kylington on his other wing for all I care. The boys deserve some rest.

I wonder if Gaudreau has a fat bonus for 100 points, and how much say the players get in whether they’re rested or not.

Benefit of having 10 D. Will be seeing all the extras draw in then.

Good to see Bennett back in if this is true. Being he has been fighting a slight shoulder injury, this will be a good test for him. Let’s hope he’ll be 100 percent or close to it for the playoffs.

Is it hard to frame a goalie call-up as an emergency call-up? You'd think they would call-up Dube to get some action unless they think they need to save the call-up for a goalie to rest one of the guys.

Dube can play centre so wouldn't think that would be a worry.

Really good interview with Tre, this is the most relaxed and candid I've heard him.

Am I crazy or is this still a half-decent (albeit inexperienced) blueline?

It's better than the Oilers have iced all year.

No bonuses, they're limited to only a few types of contracts.

What? Contracts often have bonuses in them ie ASG, minutes, etc
