What NHL games would you have liked to see on Christmas Day?
If it was for the 2018-19 season:
Pittsburgh @ Washington
Montreal @ Toronto
Tampa Bay @ Nashville
Chicago @ Vegas
Winnipeg @ San Jose
Calgary @ Edmonton
If it was my dream schedule:
Pittsburgh @ Washington
Montreal @ Toronto
Chicago @ Detroit
Boston @ Vegas
Winnipeg @ Nashville
Edmonton @ Calgary

I think its only right that the players are able to spend time with their families this time of year, just like the vast majority of others can. Especially when they spend so much time away during the season.
So no games for a few days is just fine by me.

None. I think it's insane that the NBA has games on Christmas and I'm glad the NHL gives their players a bit of a break.
And it’s not just the players who you can make the argument of they make a lot so have to make sacrifices. It’s the whole TV production teams that are traveling as well. Seems unnecessary to put that many people away from home.

Not only does it give time to the fans to spend time with family and visiting, almost more importantly it gives players and team/arena staff time to do the same.

I for one would enjoy watching an annual Kevin Lowe lead bag skate of the Oilers complete with players and coaches yelling at each other and Boxing day hold outs/trade demands.

as a guy who then would have to work on Christmas Day - quite happy to have the day off - lots of time in January for hockey games. Glad to spend today with my family
