I realize this is a re-hash from the time it was posted a couple of years ago, but it has since been updated. And with all the new-comers and possibly people changing their opinions why not post it again.
Political Spectrum Test
I'm a Leftty right around Nelson Mandela and Ghandi.......

This test is completely too simplistic and skewed. It's horrible.
"If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations."
Umm, globalisation is a force that potentially merges markets and creates wealth for all people. It's not black and white either corporations vs poor starving Africans like how this and every other statement in this test is created.

Ditto.
It's not nearly comprehensive enough to produce an accurate result.
But then, who would want to use the thing if it took them an hour to fill out?

Sheesh. I'm even further south than last time. I thought some of you righties had had at least a little bit of a moderating effect on me.
A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system.
I think it's because I had to answer "strongly agree" to questions like this and I think it interprets that to mean I like the idea of a one party state, which of course I don't. I have to agree that it would avoid a lot of arguments though.

And anyway according to that thing...
I'm PERFECTLY CENTER! What does that say about me?
I personally think I was always very economically right wing but socially left-libertarian and morally conservative. This test is completely inadequate.

I think this question is very poorly worded:
"Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers."
Maybe I misunderstood the question, but if you disagree you disagree that mothers can have careers, if you agree you say their first duty is being a homemaker.
There is no way I would disagree with the right of a mother to have a job, but isn't it possible for a guy to be a homemaker too?

You are right Jake, that question is ridiculously poorly worded. I think the gist was "A woman's first duty is to be a homemaker." The first statement is only fluff designed to confuse people.
Anyway, I ended up 3.63 economically right, -2.77 Libertarian. I was terribly shocked.

Sweeet...I'm so far left because of my hatred of corporations and about a -10 on sex part. I still think society in general is very ignorant and close-minded about sex.

I think I got a lot of points for the left on sex issues too. And I agree, society is a bit too uptight.

I'm surprised at the accuracy of the results (it's about where I peg myself). Some of those questions were completely ######ed though. As if they were trying to entrap you into saying something you don't really mean to say.
