Maybe they are doing this as a service to Glass? I remember Glass saying in an interview that there were several teams that were interested, but he chose Calgary's offer for a PTO.
Either way, I liked what Glass brought to the team thus far, but I don't see him as an every day player. Just a guy you probably want in the lineup against Edmonton, Anaheim and maybe St. Louis, as they are big and difficult teams to play against physically. I wonder if a team that was interested in him ends up picking him up.

Glass and Hamilton go to the AHL.
Jagr returns to the lineup.
Jankowski finds a place in town.

Shouldn't have been signed in the first place. If this org doesn't have call-ups providing what Glass provides then it has serious depth problems.

I'm confused with all the moves... So Hamonic on IR, Anderssen replaces him. Hamilton waived but still up, Jankowski replaces him, which requires Hamilton to go down. Jagr is ready to come back so I guess Glass needs to be waived and sent down. Is that right?

good. I'd gladly get him and Hamilton off the team and give a chance to Mangiapane and Hathaway.

Hamilton could just go down when Jagr is ready to come back. Glass on waivers could be something else.
Jagr to IR -> Jankowski recalled
Hamonic to IR -> Andersson recalled
F. Hamilton on waivers -> Jagr about ready to come off IR
Glass on waivers -> ??? It could just be flexibility.
If Jagr is back, one of F. Hamilton, Jankowski, Bennett Tkachuk, Andersson, or Glass (if he clears) would need to go down.

Reason: Corrected on Bennett waiver eligibility - was thinking Tkachuk - and corrected spelling of Andersson

Bennett is not waiver exempt and would also need to clear waivers before being assigned, FYI.

It's odd. Essentially all the moves the fans decried (sending down Jankowski, signing Glass, keeping FHamilton) are being rectified. These all seemed incredibly obvious to us, but it's taken management and the coaches a month to make the moves.
What's the deal here? I don't think we're smarter than the guys in charge. I think we might be more reactionary and willing to dispose of marginal talent regardless of whether they're a veteran or have put in a number of years into the team. Is that it? Management is more cautious and moves more slowly and less reactionarily, even though they probably see the same things we do?

I think you more or less have it.
I think there is danger with gifted spots to unproven players, and although you could argue that Jankowski deserved to make the team out of camp they probably preferred to have an injury give him his shot and see what he did with it.
I think it is cautious and maybe too much so, but it certainly beats organizations that just pencil players in .
I'm with others on the Glass thing too ... they don't have to waive him to activate Jagr so I wonder what gives.
