For a b2b, it wasn't too bad of a game. In it right to the end, and the score a little misleading perhaps. Thought The Flames were good 5 on 5. Penalties killed us, and our powerplay couldn't get it done. Special teams need to be better and our bottom six needs to start contributing to offense. I do think the Flames are building in the right direction the past 3 games. We've been the better team in those games for the most part, but unfortunately, The Flames only come out with 1 win. If they can keep growing in that positive direction. I think we'll be good.

I can't wait until Brouwer, Stajan, and Versteeg are off this team.

Pretty decent overall...Lack needs to stop cheating so much and leaving half the net open

.500 trip is pretty good considering the opponents

You wanted a .500 start? you got it

If we can turn down PP we do have a better chance. Right now the PP just kills our momentum

That score deeply flatters the Blues.

BS game where nothing went right, and they had to fight against the grain (refs). Lack definitely needed to stop that third goal.

Come on back, Mike Smith.

Refs were bad in the first and then they were better

Discipline was bad in the second and then it got better

Then the coaching was awful in the third

Hopefully it gets better

The Flames win with Smith in net. The only goal I didn't have a problem with was the second one. Hopefully Lack's positioning is way better his next start.

Penalties played a big part again tonight. Team played pretty well but seemed to run out of gas at the end.

Lets just hope this team can turn around its fortunes on home ice. Dallas, Washington and Pittsburgh are going to be tough.

It's concerning that Lazar can not make any plays right now. Like nothing. He has good wheels and decent size but just no hands or ability to read the play. Hopefully he can turn it around.

I think we are a good team but have been spoiled by above average goaltending and without it, we are sitting a couple games below 500. Tonight Lack played as good as you could ask... maybe 1 weak goal but a couple great saves that could have went in and we wouldnt have blamed him.

Too many bad passes leading to turnovers and still too many penalties.

Stajan / Brouwer do not belong on the ice compared to some of the guys who can step in... I love Stajans heart but we are deep with 4th line guys who can do the same + more.

I'm the biggest Gulutzan defender but why would he send out Stajan with less than 2 minutes to go and not pull the goalie when we had full control in the offensive zone.

The bottom line is our special teams need to get back on track. The penalty kill is 44% over the past three games while the power play is 8%. Absolutely putrid.

Stajan probably shouldn't be on the team at this point, let alone skating in the final minutes.

Is Gulutzan just mad at everyone when things don't go right or what?

So in Carolina they tried to change Lack's positioning and he didn't feel comfortable playing that way.

If that is the kind of positioning that Sigalet and Lack want to have in Calgary then he's going to struggle.

He seems to cheat on his Glove side, or maybe just the short side in general, leaving way too much space on the far side.

I'm seeing some bad positioning when the puck gets down low close to the goal line too. He's over-committing to the shooter and losing his net.

Honestly I'd be fine with Smith for another 10 in a row if that's how Lack is going to play.

It's not all his fault but you can't have 2 bad goals in a game and expect to win.

Definitely some positives to take from tonight. This was a tough back to back trip against 2 good teams. Go back home and regroup. I think a 5-5 record overall has been pretty indicative of this teams play on most nights.

About what I expected from Lack, seemed to settle in as the game went on. Sure makes you appreciate Smith whos been our MVP this year.

Watched the Blue's feed tonight. Really homer-ish, but hard to hate on Darren Pang.

Once we finally figure out that we play better 5 on 5, we'll win games. We can't afford to continue losing games by PP goals.

Lack was alright, but I am excited for Smith to be back in.
