Winnipeg having to overpay players to come to Winnipeg. Surprising.

Enjoying very much watching rivals sign bad players to big contracts.

Ca-ching. I guess hopefully for his sake he bounces back, but this contract could look real bad even this year.

So who is the better player? Stone or Kulikov?

Stone is bigger, produces about the same offense, is more physical, and is a right hand shot.

Kulikov will likely get to baby sit Byfuglien.

Kulikov L - Byfuglien R
Morrisey L - Trouba R
Enstrom L - Myers R

Winnipeg actually has a need for L handed shots.

teams pay a premium on UFA signing day

this is why i was so surprised why people thought the Stone signing was bad...

One could argue whether we should have used that money somewhere else, but the actual contract value and term were good imo

Calgary top-6 D (including bartowski) 25.6M Winnipeg 26.8

Winnipeg has Enstrom at 5.75 in his UFA year and Calgary has Bartkowski.

If either the Jets or Flames miss the playoffs this year it would likely be the end of the Coach and GM.

I'm in the minority, but the price is pretty much what I expected for him. It's all about supply and demand, and he was probably the second best UFA defenseman on the market.

Jets overpaid, but Chevy finally did something notable in terms of signing free agents.
