Exclamation [Throwback Video] Huselius' 07/08 highlights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FqmiUswICI

25 goals + 41 assists for 66 points, second behind Iggy's 98.

This is the season the Flames went on that eastern road trip and won all 6 games. The Flames scored 26 goals on that trip with Huselius racking up 5 goals + 8 assists, Langkow recorded 4 goals + 3 assists, and Iggy put up 8 goals + 3 assists. Wow.

I'll save the other throwback videos I plan on making (Nolan, Langkow, Regehr) for the off-season.

In the meantime, any requests for specific goals or moments from 2004 or recent playoff years that aren't on YouTube in decent quality?

For all his warts (defensively inept) Huselius sure could dangle...like the puck was on a string at times.

Talented dude.

Putting this together, he's probably the most skilled Flame in recent history. At least the most skilled before Johnny arrived in town.

Huselius wasn't particularly fast, but he was very sneaky.

I request a 2014-15 David Jones video, there's a fair bit of material to work with there

(14 goals, 16 assists, 30 points in 67 games + 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points in 11 playoff games)

If Todd Bertuzzi/Joe Colborne can get one...

If AC has literally nothing better to do (and I'm fine with waiting until the dog days of the summer if need be) I'd like to see one. I think a lot of people's thoughts on Jones were clouded by his inflated salary... he was still a very effective player in 2014-15.

Yeah sorry, I won't be making a David Jones video.

Bertuzzi at least was entertaining.

Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Will you be making a Versteeg video? He's had some pretty nifty highlights this season.

My favorite assist was on Nolan slapshot goal against the oil. Not that the assist was the best, but watching the oil tender trip over his own feet trying to move across the crease was hilarious.

Maybe put together a Jokipakka or Nakladal highlight package too while we're at it

Funny enough, Lombardi scored a similar goal against Edmonton a month later:

Hey at least Jones put together two full seasons

I understand what AC is saying, it's his channel and the videos obviously take a lot of work. I appreciate that he's putting a Versteeg vid together, though.

Yo, AC, who all were you thinking of video-ing for this season? (BTW the Huselius vid is great so far)

At this point, barring any big playoff performances I'll be making:

F: Backlund, Bennett, Ferland, Frolik, Gaudreau, Monahan, Tkachuk, and Versteeg.
D: Brodie, Giordano, Hamilton.

I had been planning on Brouwer and Bouma videos... but unless they have amazing playoffs I think I'll skip them. Hell, if the Flames win the Cup I'll make videos for every single player.

Here's the 2 goals he scored during that year's Superskills (captured by someone else who was there, but I can't recall who that was):

Nice, one of my favorite players!

Any chance you would have a highlight of his first point that he got as a Flame in his first game that he played after being acquired from the Panthers. It was against Pittsburgh, in early December in the 05/06 season. Pretty sure he had a big game, and I was pretty pumped.

I always remember it being a really sweet cross crease pass that he made, in tight and showing tons of patience. I remember thinking, Damn this guy has some hands and some vision. I didnt know much about the guy before that, but after seeing that, I was impressed and years later, I always look back fondly on the guy. Talk about sweet first impressions.

I always remember asking my buddies if they ever remembered that game, but obviously, nobody does lol.

That, and the weird sex 4some thing he allegedly had with other fellow swede players hah

Funny you ask. That game is literally the only one I actually have from that regular season.

Here are his 3 assists from the game:

How much fun it would be to see a line that had Juice and Johnny together on it.

Damn, we've had these jerseys forever. Time to retire them already! The angled striped socks are sharp though, very eye catching.
