Recommend (or don’t) a Restaurant Thread

I know there’s lots of threads about this but my lazy searches aren’t coming up with much.

Old university buddy coming in to town at the end of the month and wants me to set up dinner and drinks with all the old gang. Probably ten guys.

Some of these guys are very wealthy now (not me ffs), so money not a huge deal. Do not want a stuffy subdued place. So fun relaxed but with good food and we can get schittered and laugh. But with top notch food.

Thinking Shokunin but probably too stuffy and you best like sushi.

Yeah, the local restaurant tread has been a staple for years. I would say the emergence of the "calgary openings and closings" thread in the main off topic forum has taken the wind out of it a bit, lately.
