Default Sean Monahan. Consistent performer from season to season.

I am going to list these in batches of 10 games that he played. Each of 2014-15 and 2015-16, he missed a game and I'm not going to dig for when exactly those were and shift the corresponding game(s) over.

Games 1-10
14/15 - 2 G 2 A (4 PTS)
15/16 - 2 G 4 A (6 PTS)
16/17 - 4 G 0 A (4 PTS)

Games 11-20
14/15 - 5 G 3 A (8 PTS)
15/16 - 4 G 4 A (8 PTS)

16/17 - 1 G 3 A (4 PTS)

Games 21-30
14/15 - 4 G 4 A (8 PTS)
15/16 - 4 G 5 A (9 PTS)
16/17 - 3 G 5 A (8 PTS)

Games 31-40
14/15 - 0 G 5 A (5 PTS)
15/16 - 2 G 2 A (4 PTS)
16/17 - 2 G 4 A (6 PTS)

Games 41-50
14/15 - 5 G 2 A (7 PTS)
15/16 - 3 G 4 A (7 PTS)
16/17 - 5 G 3 A (8 PTS)

Games 51-60
14/15 - 4 G 4 A (1 G 1 A through 53)
15/16 - 4 G 5 A (2 G through 53)
16/17 - 3 G 0 A (Through game 53)

Games 61-70
14/15 - 7 G 4 A
15/16 - 5 G 4 A
16/17 - 0 G 0 A

Games 71-81
14/15 - 4 G 7 A
15/16 - 3 G 8 A
16/17 - 0 G 0 A

Through 53 Games, Monahan had 34 points in 2014-15, 36 in 2015-16, and 33 this year. Other than his struggles in games 11-20, he has basically been the same player in terms of production to this point in each of the last three years. The one good thing is that he was an absolute beast in the last 21 games he played the last two years. 22 and 20 points over that stretch. If Calgary is going to make the playoffs, his current hot streak needs to continue.

I'm amazed at how this guy gets beat up on CP by some. 3rd year in the NHL for this kid and he is turning into a very solid consistent top 6 center. We looked for a guy like this as a center for years and now we have Backlund and Mony ready and Bennett and Jankowski developing. Looking good guys!!!

I'd be interested in knowing how many 22 year-olds have scored 100 NHL goals so far.

I sent (essentially) this same thing to Eric Francis a nice while back after he had an article complaining about Monahan. He sarcastically responded to me with "Yeah you're right, he's been fantastic "

People are lazy and hate to do any actual research, they just like to spew whatever the see in front of their eyes and base opinions on it.

Great job for doing research!

Well there's your first problem, you actually though Francis was worth engaging with words.

Next time use bright colors and easily differentiated shapes. Avoid loud noises though as these tend to startle him.

I think the reason he was so lambasted around here is that when he's not scoring he's invisible. No nice defensive plays, no hits, no shots, nothing. When he's got his confidence back he's great, but he's going to have to figure out how to contribute when he's not scoring if he wants to be that elite center we need.

He not only leads his draft class (2013) in goals and points, but he leads the prior draft class as well (2012).

And only 2 guys from the 2011 class have reached 100. Landeskog has 109 and Saad has 100.

Monahan leads his draft class, has already lapped the prior draft class, and is on the verge of lapping the entire draft class 2 years prior, and all he gets here is #### on.

Faceoffs. He's been doing that much at least all year.

Monahan is a great player, but he has a ways to go before he's a complete player. I don't think anyone doubts his offensive abilities, he has arguably the best shot on the team. But a #1 centre needs to do more than just shoot straight.

He's actually much improved in his own end, still a ways to go but Gulutzen has him playing low in front of his own net when the picks in the Flames zone and it's starting to pay off.

I agree this season he was terrible, in all faucets, from the start until that hot stretch when Gaudreau got injured but his overall game outside of that ha been good. Work to do, but right trajectory.

It would be pretty awesome to see Monahan establish a 55% + in the dot over his career.

When Johnny got hurt Gulutzan tapped him as the guy to stepup.

Yeah, we wouldn't want Saki to trade Duchesne for Brode.
