Flames played a good game. Probably deserved to win. Just, ugh. These types of games annoy me the most, though. Outplay the other team for the most part, but lose. ****.
My day is now slightly less enjoyable.
I'm not even that mad. Hell of a game and a pretty solid effort by the Flames. Sucks to not get any points though, especially with the Kings losing. The Pittsburgh game won't be any easier. I'm just praying for at least a point out of that one.
No shame losing to a superior Rangers team on the road. Maybe Elliott was the difference as that soft 3rd goal really changed the complexion of the game as well the defense is still prone to the same breakdowns of Hartley's Flames. That has to be curtailed. Gulutzan needs to work with Gio and Brodie in regards to getting pucks on the net. I cringe every time these guys have the puck on their stick at the point because you know the shot's either going into a player's skate or a harmless wide shot. I still don't understand why Hamilton is on the 2nd PP unit when he's the best point man by a massive margin.
Hate to put the blame on the goalie, but the game came down to first one to blink and it was Elliott. A wrister from the blue line with no traffic should not go in like that.
