Reimer's return, but Luongo in the net for the Panthers.
I'm intrigued to watch this Leafs team. Lots of talent up front....not so much on the back end.

Marchessault scores on a 2 on 1 to put the Panthers up 1-0.
That's now Marchessault's 9th point in his first 7 games, playing with Barkov and Jagr until Huberdeau comes back. If Huberdeau doesn't come back soon, that might be Marchessault's spot to lose.
For all you poolies, you might want to pick him up.

Bleh...flukey goal for the Leafs as a shot from far out deflects and floats up and over Luongo into the net.
Credit to the Leafs for keeping the pressure on for a long period of time on that shift though.

Powerplay Quarterback
Watching Canadians vs Tampa Bay - not the most exciting first period.
Best thing so far... Brian Engblom - Great analyst.

Connor with his first NHL goal makes it 2-0 for Jets
edit: Laine adds a 3rd on a rather slick shot from the point.

Jonathan Marchessault, who's about to turn 26 and had 18 points last season with Tampa, now has 10 points in 7 games while playing with Barkov and Jagr.

He's a well below average NHL goaltender, and has stuck around for 10+ years. It's pretty remarkable.

Wow. I know Ramo is rehabbing, but I can't believe that by 2017, most likely Budaj will have an NHL job and Ramo won't

Nobody is talking about the fact that Lindy Ruff pulled his goals with 7:20 remaining in the 3rd and behind down 4-1? That's insane.

My god Laine has one of the nicest releases I've ever watched. Might be better than Ovechkins wrister.
His two goals tonight were gorgeous shots.

How? Selänne never really "ripped it up" so to speak when he scored, his shots were accurate but not hard.
