Hypothetical situation - protect only 3 players for expansion draft

If you could only protect 3 players, who would you protect? Hard question since you're going to have to expose at least 3 really good players.

I would protect Gaudreau, Bennett, and Brodie. It was a hard choice between Monahan and Bennett but I think Bennett will have the better career.

Monhan, Bennett, Hamilton. Keep the 1-2 punch down the middle, Centers arre far too valuable, and the fact you can have them both for the next 6-9 years. that a huge weight off your shoulders building your team. I coin flipped on Brodie or Hamilton, landed Hamilton.

I really doubt if a team had a choice between Brodie or Hamilton they'd choose Hamilton that's why I decided on Brodie. Especially at his contract, Brodie makes the most sense I think.

he has won the Flames plenty of games already...Just the asset value alone, he is obviously the most valuable player on the team and will be paid as such
