I loved how Duchene didn't react. Got up and kept forechecking

Iginla with a good scrap there. At the right time too, the Aves have no momentum.

RE: He was then given 2 minutes and the Caps scored on the PP.

Smith injured for the Coyotes I guess. Lots of injuries to start this season - at least it seems that way to me.

Wooo!

With 4:08 to go in the game on a delayed penalty, Mike Matheson gets his 1st NHL goal to put the Panthers up 3-2 over the Lightning.

Edit: just to add to this, Matheson then goes on to make 2-3 excellent defensive plays in order to keep the puck in the Tampa Bay end.

Matheson is the real deal.

The commentary was that he was smiling after the second one. Something they hadn't seen since being traded.

Wow.

Tampa ties it with 5 seconds left on an impossible shot along the goal line by Stamkos. Gotta give credit where it's due, that was incredible.

Lol. Trochek loses the puck. Skates backwards. Scores in the shootout. Some how counts.

Brutal.

Can't believe that counted.

Wow. Effing weird play in Tampa. Trocheck needs to score in the shootout or Tampa wins the game. He fumbles the puck as he pulls it back, and he stops to pick it up and shoots it in the net after Bishop stops because it looks like forward momentum ended. The puck had a very slight forward momentum to it that let Trocheck pick it up again and score. Initial call was no goal, refs reviewed it and overturned it. Shootout continues.

Doesn't matter in the end. Tampa wins in a shootout.

Good battle tonight between the two Florida teams. Should be a fun competition throughout the year.
