Roger Millions @RogMillions
Understand Matthew Tkachuk's ELC is done and will be announced soon. #Flames wasted little time getting it done .

Excellent!
Some analysis of him from development camp:
He definitely plays like his dad, in that he's very tenacious and strong on the puck. He's an excellent forechecker who isn't afraid to use his body effectively.
The younger Tkachuk is more swift than his father, however. He's very fluid in his movements. He's got a stellar shot which he unloads a lot. His tendency on two on ones is to shoot, not pass, but he can do the latter just fine.
Very exciting player!

Yes, yes, all well and good but have we signed Dustin Boyd yet?

Man, glad to see this done, try to not worry and hope for the best but if there's anyone the Canucks were looking to offer sheet to give an adrenaline shot to that rebuild, it was this guy.

Hopefully he builds his game and is ready for camp. left a little bit wanting during development camp this week but I have no doubt that he'll be fine. For elite players, I think they just go through the motions during the summer.

He can't be. Hugh must be reading Tkachuk and thinking Monahan.

It was an ill conceived double whammy at the OMGaudreau offer sheet crowd and Benning's sneaky "just outside of the rules" management style. I mean, most of the time it never works, but imagine that one time if it did..

that would be a helluva world, if these prospects could be offersheeted that quickly. Maybe that's why Tim Murray makes his picks in 3 words and runs off?

Not too concerned about Tkachuk, didn't expect a huge camp from him in the first place. ELC is done, now he can focus on some r&r and main camp. Kids been busy for the last couple of months. Hopefully he can rest up enough to get that ankle healed up properly before pushing the workouts to make the team out of camp.

Monahan/Gaudreau
Bennett/Tkachuk
Couple really solid pairings on our top 2 lines for many years to come hopefully.
