Yzerman's got that my way or the highway thing down. I'm sure this guy is a bit of a wanker but Tampa has that Boston thing down where they like to alienate guys who don't shut their mouth and play. Lots of people like that attitude but at times it costs you good players (Tyler Seguin for example - not Tampa, but a guy traded for attitude)

He was suspended for a racial slur in 2014 and also suspended for abuse of an official that same year.

Apparently - based on a buddy of mine in Tampa - he hasn't gotten any better since. This seems to clearly be a case of a team deciding the problem isn't worth putting up with.

Edit: according to Tampa fans on Reddit, he was healthy scratched nine times last season because of attitude issues.

That new kid GM is having a good first draft. I like the move they made with Detroit to get Chychrun. Keller and Chychrun in the first round is pretty damm good. This move for Deangelo has a bit of risk, but talent wise he is a great pick up. This newbie GM is already better than Vancouver's and Edmonton's GM.
