Maybe he's learned a new way to say that they're being very thorough and have no timeliness to hire a coach. Also the they have their guys in the draft and they'll move up or down if the deal makes sense to them.

Am I forgetting something? Oh yeah! Goalie search is still a top priority.

It really is too bad he couldn't give us something to chew on until a coaching hire or the draft.

Yeah, unless the news is relevant and new, I am not sure why he wants to do another interview with the same information. Maybe he will talk about the Penguins and Mr. Hockey....

I just hope he takes a couple of shots at the oilers. I can't see them making any big announcements but maybe he'll say they have an announcement coming and that he's only there to announce the upcoming announcement.

Treliving is just doing what 960 requested and come on and address some topics around the team now that the season has ended. I would love for him to be more forthcoming with information but that is not how a GM should conduct their business.

To me Feaster, MacT, and Benning are 3 of the worst GM's in recent memory and all 3 are guilty of being big talkers in the media. Saying things that reporters like to hear but as a fan could be cringe worthy. Treliving is a guy that uses a lot of buzz words to describe what he is doing without saying anything or giving any indication what way he is leaning or thinking. Frustrating as a fan but at least he is generous with his time and we hear from him a fair bit on the radio

The only reason Treliving continues to give the same recycled responses is because people continue to ask questions he can't answer at this time.

I could see an update confirming where they're at with the coach hire and/or if they're into second interviews or narrowed to a short list or something. But if folks are looking for details regarding the draft or the goalie situation, I imagine they'll walk away from this interview fairly disappointed.

Treliving says they will have a coach by the draft - going to reach conclusion rather quickly.

dodges question about how many people are still on the list: Down to the short strokes. Limited list right now.

won't answer question if he is going to seek permission to talk to candidates on the cup finalists teams

he has made up his mind up on who he wants today

Agreed, you never know for sure, but given he thinks we'll have one by the draft and his dancing, he's either hired and hasn't announced, or it's the paper work stage.

Oh and he just slipped up, and said person then corrected himself. Oh and now he admits his minds made up.
