Thanks for the write-up as always. Interesting to read what Willis had to say about Hudler. The drop in his trade value is pretty alarming and surprising with it being a contract year. In hindsight, BT should have been looking to sell high in the summer but the team has to be surprised with his drop in play this year. I'm not buying the lingering injury excuse but not like I know anything.

On Hudler - Loubo had some less than flattering remarks today as well when he was on with Pat.
Really it is a less than great situation for both the team and player. The player was looking for a big pay day and has literally cost himself millions with his play this year. And the team has seen his value erode to next to nothing. At this point what does Hudler get you? A 4th? Brutal.

I will be pissed if the team can't get anything more than a 4th for Hudler. What a massive drop but you may be right.

As an aside I had the Devils feed on TV tonight. Their announcers were going on and on about Cammalleri. Leadership, scoring, role model most valuable skater on team yadda yadda. And we couldn't get anything for him. Sigh....

Respectfully, on Hiller: any goaltender that only gives up 1 goal over 2 games deserves to keep his net. To not start him tonight after a shootout loss (I mean who can really get mad at a shootout loss) after giving up 1 goal would be disingenuous to the idea of recent performance determining whether you play or not. Hiller wasn't great tonight on a couple of plays, but there were also multiple odd man chances and breakaways that he had to stop. No credit for those of course because we lost, but he wasn't the sole reason we lost.

That said, I would be happy to start Ramo next game.

Just to add to your take on Vancouvers goaltending situation, their are paying lion go 1M/yr for....well forever. And if he retires before the contract is done, they have additional cap penalties. Love it.
