Default New GM Editor - update required!

Folks,
In going to the SimonT website to get the download link for Spike, I realized they recently released a new version of the Sim.
As such, we need to all update our editors.
You'll want to download Version 3
http://sths.simont.info/Download_En.php

I need to update the core sim as well, and actually have to pay for this new version - so I've sent through the payment to the creator and I'm waiting for my registration information. I'll then update the roster file so everyone can make sure they are up and running.

We will give everyone until Wed end of day and resume games on Thursday.

The cool thing is the updated sim includes 3 on 3 overtime including the ability to set the players you want to use in that extra time. So for folks that hate the shootout - this is a welcome change!

Questions?

Should we all pitch in some money to cover the costs of buying the SIM?

So the current roster file won't work with the new sim?

I'm not sure. It might. I can't test until I'm able to register the new version of the sim.
When you download the new GM editor does it work?

No not necessary. It is a low cost. I only mentioned it to note that I can't get the thing running until the guy that runs SimonT gets the PayPal payment and sends me back the information to register the software.

Short of just being a newbie, I dl the editor and the roster file, but when I went to open the roster, it wasn't appearing for me

I suspect it is because the roster file was generated off the old sim. I'll uploaded a new one once I'm up and running

OK give it a crack now. Link should be the same, but download the new file I just uploaded and let me know if it works with the GM editor.

Using the link on the web page or the pinned file on the board?

Looks good. There is an OT section where you pick 10 forwards and 5 D. The sim then sends out combinations of 2 F and 1 D during the 3 on 3 OT.

On second glance, although they don't show up on my roster, the OT section has old players from Buffalo that I've since traded like Malhotra and Tlusty.

I've tried closing and re-opening the file twice. Same issue.

Very weird. I see that too. Just replace them with the correct guys.

Pc

Downloaded the Gm editor
Downloaded the roster file
opened GM editor
clicked ok
Open file
Then I get nothing to open

I feel like I'm missing a step from the old days. I checked the newbie thread, but I'm pretty sure I did everything

Is this the roster link you are using:
cphl.calgarypuck.com/pages/simupload/CPHL1.stc

Did you unzip the GM editor before opening it?

Yup...it's open. The roster is an STC file correct?
