Default Tattoo Parlour Suggestions?

I'd like to get a small tattoo done (just a bit of script on my inner wrist), but I'm not really sure where to go. It's my first time getting a tattoo, so I'm not sure if I can just walk in, or if I have to book an appointment.

If anyone has any suggestions where I might be able to have it done well, and at a decent price, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You'll likely have to book, good artists are busy and you really don't want a bad one. Some of the big shops, like Buddhas, are booked months in advance and have waiting lists, basically. I've had my last couple done at Ghost Town in Okotoks, really happy with the work there and it's a nice clean shop.

I had mine done at the Smiling Buddha. I made an appointment for mine but my daughter and I walked in off the street and talked to them about hers, last year. It helps them out if you already know what you want. Phone around - some of them, even Buddha, do some walk-ins on Saturdays if you can be there and waiting before they open. At least that's what they told us.

As it stands, my daughter ended up having hers done at Human Kanvas in Airdrie - she's happy with it.

Go see Deano at Immaculate Concept. He's a super nice dude and his art can be as simple as you like or as detailed as you like. Check out their Facebook page to see his work, it's crazy.

Bushido is arguably one of the best in the city and they take walk-ins or short notice appointments. Rate is $150 an hour.

Off topic a bit but has anyone been watching Ink Master this year on Spike. That live show last night was excrutiating. They stretched 5 minutes of actual content into a 1 hour live "event". Not good.

I've been told Gypsy Rose is pretty good, I haven't gone there myself but have been told by others who've gotten their tat's there that they are quite good at what they do.

When and if I decide to get my 2nd tat done, I'll be going there.

Bump.

I'm looking to buy my wife some gift cards to get a cover up.

I'm leaning toward Bushido because of the online reviews.
Any other, 2015 suggestions?

I tried to get ahold of that guy a bunch of times about someyhing i wanted done. I love his work, but he never got back to me. Not sure if he wasn't interested in my idea or what.

Anyways. His instagram has lots of photos of his stuff and it's really good. Worth checking out, he just posted an impressive cover up earlier this week. Deano_robertson
