they're playing exactly like i expect them too if last season was just puck luck on being on their side. All of these fancy pass attempts not working.
Lots of players playing way below whats expected of them.
Backlund and Gaudreau were the only decent players and even Johnny wasn't great.
Ugh get it together Flames.

Very unimpressed with this team 4 games in with zero regulation wins. Goaltending isn't anywhere near good enough. If top line doesn't bring it, zero chance. Not looking good - very easy team to play against.

Tough loss to take. Thread title is wrong, FLames played a good road game, let down by a bad bounce and I don't know what Ramo was doing on the GWG. You've gotta give Ortio a chance at this point.

I'm not one to get concerned early on in the season, but if we for some reason lose tomorrow night, this team needs a serious reality check quickly. Standings don't change much after American Thanksgiving and we can't be 5-6 games back of 500 once it gets to that point.

If this carries over to tomorrow, we're going to give the Greasers their first win of the season. Maybe that's the level of embarrassment they need to realize the pre-season is over.

I would like the first line to actually score some goals -- if not to help us win, at least to help me out in the hockey pool.

There's 60 minutes in a hockey game boys. The amount of turnovers were staggering, especially late in the 3rd. absolutely ridiculous play.
So far this season, I'm not feeling it from the Flames. The effort is not there and their heads aren't in the game consistently. Jets deserved that win.
We better hope the Flames wake the **** up soon. Like, tomorrow.

Only line that seems to muster any chance is the first line

They're not playing like they did last season.
Sure, we had some above average luck last season, but this team right here isn't working, isn't clicking, and isn't even putting themselves in the positions to get "lucky".

The team is missing:
Brodie
Colborne
Granund
A better goalie (who is it?)

"A player is on-side when either of his skates are in contact with, or
on his own side of the line, at the instant the puck completely crosses
the leading edge of the blue line regardless of the position of his stick.
However, a player actually controlling the puck who shall cross the
line ahead of the puck shall not be considered “off-side,” provided he
had possession and control of the puck prior to his skates crossing the
blue line. "
