I think the reason they were so much better at home was because they were so running on fumes.. more fumes at home

Thank you D'Arcy for all the post game takes this season and through the playoffs. Your write ups have become a favourite of mine on this site. The insights and commentary should be the envy of all the newspaper scribes that cover the Flames.

Looking forward to your next season takes

Your guys were game to the very end...and got some of your youngsters valuable playoff experience...

Congratulations on what can only be described as a season where your team easily surpassed expectations...I think that even the most ardent Flames' fan would not have predicted your team to have been still playing in May, when the season started...to do so without your Captain, makes it even more impressive.

I salute you Flames fans and your team on an fun and successful season.

Frustrating reffing with lots of borderline penalties in the first two periods (11!) and then they completely put away their whistles in the 3rd. So inconsistent. And lucky there wasn't a injury to any of our D the way they were getting mugged in the 3rd. Oh well, great year! Can't wait for next year.

Thanks for all the GT...from experience, it's a tough go of it over a season...93 times this year.

The cross check on Hudler in OT that lead to the Belesky break away made me particularly upset.

compare and contrast that to Backlund's game losing penalty.

It was coaching genius that Hartley was able to change the mood of the games after game 1.

There was no way that the Flames could compete with Anaheim on a physical level like they did with Vancouver.

After the 1st 4 periods the Flames were all about skating away from big hits. They did not punish any Duck D-man and concentrated on puck support and moving the puck out so that Russell/Brodie and Wideman could get through this series intact.

Even in Game 4 where the Ducks were the most worried and want to come out and crush the Flames they were unable to engage in the big hitting game as the Flames stayed away from it.
