Domination. I tuned in 10 mins into the 1st period and the game was pretty much over already.
I love this team. I will remember this season for a long time.

Back when Randy Carlyle was fired on January 6th, the Flames and Leafs had identical 21-16-3 records.
Since then...
Flames: 17-9-2
Leafs: 6-20-3

Carlyle was definitely the problem though, right BigTuna? Horachek has them playing better too, right BigTuna?

Good call on the Goat. I don't know how anyone can think that Dion is a good dman anymore. He is in over his head as a #1 - but he is at best an adequate 2nd pairing guy. Really - he's turned into quite the awful blueliner.
The offense and aggression has vanished and his D was always suspect. So you have nothing left.

Yep, Loved those "Odds and ends" stats
It reminds me of Darryl Sutter once saying "I want players that are good in March, not in November" (Paraphrasing)
The fact that those stats are coming in the stretch drive, in a tight playoff race with guys under 22 leading the way is so awesome.

Ya his development was seriously stunted somewhere along the line. Going to Torono was likely the worst possible situation for him, and then be awarded the captaincy, which was bizarre. His third season was his best offensively, it's just really fallen off the wheels since then. Defense is something that is learned over time as well.

That was one odd play Phaneuf made when Bollig took the penalty, it was almost like he didn't trust himself to play the puck so tried to interfere with Bollig so Reimer could cover it. Odd call that Bollig went off for the very call that Phaneuf should have taken.

Flattering scoreline for the Leafs, two softies by Hiller....love his big saves but the soft ones happen too frequently.

He doesn't seem to let in too many bad goals when it really matters in tight games though.
It's funny how we started the season as the team that only succeeded because of exceptional goaltending, and now here we are looking solid despite pretty average play from the guys between the pipes.

If the Leafs placed Phaneuf on waivers I would hope the Flames would pass on him.
