I personally enjoy that the plan of attack to deal with a sullied reputation for being a dickhead is to sue the guy. That's going to win the public back for sure.

This is probably a weird first post but when Lindros was playing for Leafs I saw him, Jeff O'Neill and a couple other guys at a bar and a friend of mine asked Jeff O'Neill if he wanted to get high (semi-jokingly, as you do). He laughed and politely declined but told my buddy to go ask Lindros because "he loves weed". So of course my stupid friend does just that... also mentioning that Jeff told us he loves weed.

Lindros basically grabbed my friend by the ear and slammed his head down on the bar and told us to get the #### away from him. So basically everything you heard/read about the kind of guy is was probably true.

Interesting that the equipment guy doesn't back up the story about the posters and supports Lindros though.

Exactly, and this alleged poster-ripping incident seems to the crux of the matter.
Lindros will have already asked for a retraction, and HuffPo will have refused, which is why a lawsuit was filed.
If it goes to trial, HuffPo had better know that Paul Stewart has his facts straight, as it will have to prove them.
Otherwise, ka-ching Lindros. (He won't receive much in damages imho).
I had a few dealings with Lindros back in the day and found him to be a reasonable guy. His father was a tad overbearing.

Just seems bizarre that Lindros is a guy whos reputation was basically sullied before he even played a game in the NHL.

He's spent an entire lifetime with people hating him and saying all kinds of terrible things about him...and now he randomly wants to fight this one battle?
