Another transportation disaster.

Greek officials say an international rescue effort is underway after a passenger ferry carrying 466 people caught fire off the island of Corfu. They said passengers were being evacuated amid bad weather conditions. There are reports that there weren't enough lifeboats and passengers jumped overboard into rough seas and cold water.

The death count has increased on the ferry disaster.

Turkish passenger Saadet Bayhan, speaking to Turkey's NTV television from a rescue ship, confirmed that there were no fire alarms and that passengers woke each other up.

Pretty sad what happened there. More deaths in this tragedy and 2 Albanian workers died when trying to connect the cable to the ship.
