Does anyone else not like the new storefront? Looks like they aren't doing flash sales this go around.

Since I'm soon to have a desktop again, I'm sure I'll once again start buying a bunch of Steam games I don't end up playing.
Yay!

I've been told by friends to get the mass effect trilogy, but Steam only has 1 and 2 because Origin is lame and EA pulled a lot of their games off steam to sell on their crappy service. Ugh, I h8 EA.

So is this a pre-winter winter sale or just this is it for the Steam sale near the holidays?

Origin is fine. Buy the whole trilogy for $15. https://www.origin.com/en-ca/store/b...andard-edition

It's worth mentioning that Origin's Black Friday sale is on now too. Titanfall is $5.

I only know one person who has it but he says it's a lot of fun. If I were to guess I'd say it probably has to do with the game being a multi-player only title. I think I'll take a chance on it for $5.

From what i have read it doesn't sound like the community is that large. $5 might change that. Apparently the dlc isn't worth it...nobody plays those maps. People on reddit say horde mode is worth $5 alone.
For $5 I'm going to take a chance as well.

I may finally break down and buy South Park now that it is 50% off.
It must be a huge sale. Almost all of the 35 games on my wishlist on on sale.

Apparently this must be said. They have over 5000 games on sale but don't buy a game unless it's featured as a daily deal. If a game you want doesn't show up as a daily deal by the last day of the sale then buy it. Games get even better discounts during daily deals.

Looks like they got me today. Going to load up on some Payday 2 DLC and I'll probably grab Shadow Warrior. I want to get the new Wolfenstein but I think I'll wait to see if it gets a better discount at Christmas.

Damn all these sites and their cheap games! I was going to wait on Wolfenstein but greenmangaming also decided to have a sale and I got it for $16.

Please pardon my ignorance, but is greenmangaming another online game store where you'd have to sign up and download their software?
How is Castlevania 2? Steam has it at 80% off.

GMG is just a online store. They don't have software. They sell games for Steam, Origin etc. So for instance I just bought Wolfenstein and I got a steam key. The nice thing about GMG is that they offer nice deals as well. Sometimes better than what's on Steam and they tend to offer nice discounts on pre-orders (25%-30%) if that's your thing.

So I had a chance to play some of Titanfall's horde mode last night and I have to say the game is pretty damn fun. The parkour makes moving around the maps a lot more interesting and reminds me of what I had hoped Brink would be. The Titans are pretty damn cool too and it's awesome to drop one into combat. The gameplay is solid. In my opinion, it's definitely worth more than $5. I think Respawn did a damn good job for their first game and the sequel is on my radar.
