Jury duty question

I'm hoping there's someone who's more familiar with the system than I am and might be able to give us a direction to look or provide an answer.

My grandma is at jury duty selection today, but I guess the process is going particularly slow and they've informed them that it may have to continue tomorrow. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, however my sister is getting married tomorrow (so her granddaughter), which is obviously something she'd want to be there for, and she's also in part of the wedding.

Does anyone know what, if any, options she has here? Is there a number I can call to find out more, or someone she can talk to about her situation?

Have her explain it to the judge. He will definitely let her go.

Thanks for your response! She had been having a hard time getting the attention of one of the clerks (I imagine they were all busy), but eventually one of them noticed that she was visibly upset. Once they heard her story they let her go in before the next group and explain it to the judge and the judge let her go
