Most likely the team gets announced in the summer of 2016. So Eligible players would have to be born in 1993. Pretty much 2011 draft and on.

A lot of C obviously and some good LW depth but really struggling on the RW and G for this team. Defence should be ok. So a few C's will have to switch positions.
Question: What if the GM of one of the World teams wants a young star on that team, can he grab him? Like if Brian Burke was GM of the U.S squad and wanted Gaudreau.
I read it's 23 and under so that would mean players drafted in 2011 and forward. A guys like Nugent Hopkings will have just turned 23 few months before the competition.
It better include 2011 or you're setting up the rest of the team for a massive beat down. For one they won't have a goalie with NHL experience.

I think Young Stars team gets priority.
If that's the case, this tournament is gonna suck.

From my understanding no if you are under 23 then you are on that team (unless they elect not to take that player)

Nope. Any U23 player is only eligible for 23 and under teams.
