QOTD: Who would you least like to meet in the first round?
You can blame Sureloss for this jinx laden question!
(kidding, great suggestion)
But lets toss in some caveats.

Anaheim would be a short series, likely 5 games. No thanks

I chose Anaheim as well, I just think they have all the tools this year.

Anaheim, and not just because of that damn curse. They're just a really good team.

Chicago. They really turn it on in the playoffs.

If the Flames make the playoffs, the likely opponent will be one of San Jose Anaheim or Vancouver assuming the Flames do not finish in the corresponding Wild Card spot (If Anaheim is #1, then the Flames would have to be #7 to face the other division, if Anaheim is #2, then the Flames would have to be #8). Of the three likeliest opponents, I would not want to face Anaheim the most. The other two are easier, but still difficult opponents. I think the Flames would get slaughtered against any of the top central teams in a 7 game series, especially St. Louis.

Whoops didn't read the title - thought it was who do you WANT to meet, chose Colorado. Just for the drama of the Iginla storyline.

Oops silly me, read the question as "who would you like to face" and picked the Sharks.
Definitely Anaheim.

Dammit I read the title wrong too and voted wrong.
I'll be happy just to see us in a spot, but really I'd put this team up against anyone, even the Ducks. That stupid curse has to give at some point and no better way for it to end then the playoffs, asI believe it to be a regular season curse. This team has the belief it can beat any team on any night and if they go into any series with that mindset then I too have faith they can beat anyone.
For purely entertainment sake I'd like to see us play Vancouver. Another epic series that would probably end up in game 7 OT again.

Chicago for me.
I think we would have a very small chance to win a playoff series vs Anaheim, Chicago or St Louis but I could see Chicago beating us in 4 or 5 without the Flames ever really getting into the series at all.

Anaheim, and only because of the curse. I'm just as pleased as punch to see the Flames in playoffs conversations this late in the year. Going to make it? Bring on whomever we get to play! It doesn't matter. Due to how the Flames have been able to compete with any team this year no team scares me anymore. So, since the Flames can't win IN Anaheim, I hope we never face them in the playoffs... or, maybe the playoffs is where we beat the curse....

My proper answer to this thread would be St. Louis. We really struggle against that team, not even remotely competitive

1. Blues
2. Ducks
3. Hawks
I really didn't like the way the Flames play against St. Louis in the regular season for the last couple of years. As for playing St. Louis in the playoffs I have no idea. Anaheim is a close second, mainly because of how they play during the playoffs. Third is Chicago, we mannaged to beat them during this season, but they seemed to be the better team during the games.
