Coyotes and Capitals reached a deal:

Cameron Atkinson

To Capitals:
Andrew Ladd
Alexander Edler

Capitals decided to strengthen its offensive corps and the price for that was to part with Erik Johnson. Coyotes also sent Edler who will dress up on the Capitals' blue line.

the yotes needed to drop salary and bringing in two 40 point NHL'ers on cheap contracts (2.5 mil and 1.13 mil) provided good cap dump as ladd needed a 3 year contract. We also get a Dman we really like in EJ who had a solid season in Colorado
