repeating from gt...

good effort, would have been nice to get the W for the last home game...

BUT

could this day have gone any better??

Gaudreau signed? Check
Arnold signed? Check
Carolina get 2 points? Check
New York Isles get 2 points? Check
Flames don't get 2 points? Check

from a long term franchise perspective, this day couldn't have gone any better

Looks like we're picking 4 or 5 depending on what happens on Sunday.
Oh, and Gaudreau.

Not even mad. Gaudreau wins the Hobey Baker. Gaudreau and Arnold sign with the Flames. Flames play a good game again tonight. Flames still have a good chance at the 4th overall pick.

Today was a pretty good day.

Flames played well. They got some fluky goals. Jets fans are annoying.

Can't believe how different the Flames and Oilers season have gone and we could be drafting one spot behind them...

I can't wait until the Flames are playoff bound again, instead of this jockeying for draft position crap. I despise losing, and I'm sick of watching these games with such mixed emotions all the time.

This is the first game I recall this year that the opponent out blocked us. We also won half the faceoffs and had way more shots.

Somewhat related.

Tosh O's producer was shot to death today in a case of mistaken identity by the LAPD. Was running from a knife wielding maniac, and the Cops blew him away thinking he was the attacker.

With Mono's goal tonight, here's where he sits amongst Flames rookies:

Joe Nieuwendyk (1987-88) - 51 goals - 21 years old
Hakan Loob (1983-84) - 30 goals - 23 years old
Brett Hull (1987-88) - 26 goals - 23 years old
Paul Ranheim (1989-90) - 26 goals - 24 years old
Joel Otto (1985-86) - 25 goals - 24 years old
Carey Wilson (1984-85) - 24 goals - 22 years old
Sergei Makarov (1989-90) - 24 goals - 31 years old
Sean Monahan (2013-14) - 22 goals - 19 years old
Jarome Iginla (1996-97) - 21 goals - 19 years old
Dion Phaneuf (2005-06) - 20 goals - 20 years old

Last time a Flames rookie scored 22 goals was 89-90, when Ranheim and Makarov both scored more. Sean Monahan was scored 4 years after that point.
