That sucks for the hawks.... If he's gone for the playoffs, they're going to suck.

You should change the thread title to "rest of the regular season", I thought you meant gone until next year.

Lucky that's all he's going to miss, that hit was huge.

If him and Kane miss playoff time, or are playing significantly hurt, that's gotta make Boston the favourite no?

Yes but don't forget the St. Louis Blues.

I would have taken St. Louis over Chicago even if they were 100% healthy.

I think Boston has to be considered Cup favorites simply due to their comparatively easy potential path to the finals. They should obliterate whoever they face in the east, and the west has six teams that are going to maul each.

Holy crap. Sucks for them. At least he'll be well rested for playoffs.

When healthy I have Chicago over St. Louis. I don't really trust Miller and I feel the pressure of expectation will get to St. Louis.

Yeah. I have a strong feeling the cup will come down to Boston and St. Louis
Although LA has a chance too, as they've shown that they can turn on the jets in April and have beaten the Blues.

Love Toews but hate the Blackhawks and their fans... Mixed emotions.

the likely 1st round match up is the Hawks vs the Avs
The Avs are missing Matt Duchene for a month; big blow to both teams

Don't forget about LA either, Quick can win a series by himself when he's in the zone.

While I do think that the bruins should be the favourite and I'm cheering for them to win the cup... I have a bad feeling or whoever faces Detroit in the first round if both datsyuk and zetterberg make it back for the playoffs. That team has been getting and better lately and if those two come back... It will be a huge boost to a team that is already playing pretty good hockey.

Yeah, Boston is the favourite because the Eastern Conference is so weak. In the West you have Chicago, St. Louis, Anaheim, San Jose, and L.A. Who knows who will make it through to the final.

Glad Toews will be there for the playoffs at least. Though, I don't see them getting past 2 rounds. The two teams I see at the SC finals is Boston and Anaheim. I feel like St. Louis and San Jose will choke again.

I get the feeling this is more of a safety first kind of thing - he's not necessarily sitting the rest of the regular season because he 'needs' to. It's a smart move. The 'Hawks are guaranteed a playoff spot already.
