You quote the entirety of your own post that is already a copyright infraction.

You should provide a link to the article and only quote a few paragraphs.
As for the Jets coming back...not going to happen. They may have the arena but thye don't have the money, corporate support and community support.
One thing is for sure is the Phoenix market is dead and is the worst in the NHL, they need to move that team ASAP so the other teams don't have to pay for a team that a market doesn't care about.

Interesting article, but I would not get my hopes up. I would love to see Winnipeg back in the league, as it would be a way better alternative to Phoenix or Sunrise Florida, I just do not think the city has the large corporate sponsorship to sustain an NHL team long term. Its too bad, Winnipeg definitely has the fans and the passion for an NHL team. I would rather see them get one than Hamilton

How do you figure you have the corporate support or even the population to support a team?

and the arena is too small.
Edit: apparently that is what the whole article says is false, or so says Bettman.

There wasn't one else I'm sure the mod would have left it in there.

I don't believe that. You look around the league and 1/3 of the league is selling below 15,000 average attendance, the problem for Winnipeg is they would have to fill it every night, they couldn't 'make up' attendance on the bigger games.
But they don't have the corporate money or the population to even fill the building every night because if they didn't they would just lose their team again in a decade.

If they had the corporate support to begin with they never would have lost the Jets in the first place.
15,000 seats is not enough to support an NHL team either. It puts Winnipeg at an extreme disadvantage when it comes to revenue. Where does the team plan to make up the shortfall of 4,000 seats of revenue every night?

It wasn't there, or it would have been altered. If you have a problem with the moderators, please PM the mod account.

Yikes. Next time I'll just PM a mod who isn't PMSing.
All I did is ask for the link. Geez. Sensitive much? "problem with the mods"? I asked if the link could be put back in and then quite clearly said "OR WAS THERE NONE?"
