Really.... there are MANY Canadians that need help... are they not important enough? There seems to be money for other Countries while our own people get nothing but more taxes to be paid.
When will this Government actually focus on its own citizens?

You can't seriously be against helping a country that was invaded by a neighboring country and has 2 million citizens living under an illegal occupation? Yes there are problems in Canada, but we are in a good position as a country to help others. Closing ourselves off and giving a big F you to the rest of the world is not a solution.

We should be sending more to 3rd world dictatorships instead.
Seriously, it's not like this money would have been used for anything else... it was already earmarked as international aid. I'm glad it's at least going to people who more or less share our values. The more we can make them less reliant on Russia, the better.

Wow $220 million....seems like a lot. I wish the government would give more details on how they are spending our money.
I think though, that sometimes there is a disconnect between how much they say they are sending and how much they really send.......

It's probably split up over several years and is contingent are certain milestones.

I think it's a waste of money. I don't believe we should have our fingers in any other nations business. Canada should not be sending troops (Canadians) to die in Afghanistan, or money to foreign countries to help them solve their problems or whatever non sense is going on in the world.
Sure it's an easy issue for people to get sanctimonious over... "we should be helping other people yadda yadda". that's nice, if you want to help so bad you can cut a cheque and send your own money. Lets spend Canadian tax money on Canadians.
