Be careful what you wish for is all I can say. Whos to say if they succeed that the franchise isn't just moved to another state.

I find it hard to blame them. Wang ranks right up there with Bill Wirtz in owners that don't give a #### about the team or their fans, and both teams saw a huge decline under their watches. Difference I guess is that the Islanders have a solid local TV deal.
I also thought that people were musing Wang may have been using the Isles as leverage to get prime real estate for his proposed developments for Long Island and wouldn't have much interest in keeping the team for too long if his Lighthouse project fell through? I really wouldn't be surprised to see him look to sell sooner rather than later.

Good title for a Lesbian protest.
They will fire Snow very soon IMO.

He's also moving them to an arena that's comically bad for hockey.

They're already locked into an arena agreement in Brooklyn, that ship has basically sailed.

I'm not 100% on the details, but didn't he try like crazy to develop an arena project in Uniondale. I don't blame him a bit for moving to Brooklyn

Why not blame Wang? He's calling all the shots. Snow is GM in name only.

He tried to build some ridiculous $4-billion mega multi-use development (called the " Lighthouse Project"). I have heard one of the biggest reasons he bought the Isles was to use them in leverage in getting such a development done, and then threatened relocating the team in order to try and speed up the process of his project at the municipal government level. My understanding is that Wang had no interest in building an arena if he couldn't get the rest of his development, but I'm not sure about that. The project went to a referendum where locals in the area voted against funding the Lighthouse Project.

Conveniently they play San Jose for their next home game. Maybe Thornton gets four.

I remember reading praise when Snow was first hired because his first move as GM was to fire himself as goalie. :-)
