Mediocre Futon <free> dollars

I'm selling our used futon. Pickup only (NW near University). Unless you want me to harass my buddy with a truck, then you'd have to throw in a case of beer so I can pay him. But then you're probably paying too much for this mediocre futon. I'm a fantastic salesman.

It has two problems.

1) it sags in the middle. The frame is a bit bent, and one of the wood planks is a bit cracked. It's still totally serviceable, but it does noticeably sag.

2) The cover on it had a bit of an issue in a dryer, and it has a "burn" mark on it. See picture #2. If you really wanted I think you can get a new cover from Ikea for 40 bux, but if it's going in a basement it probably doesn't matter that much.

Also, personally I won't be offended if you take the cat with it. If someone (probably a female) says to you "oh no the cat isn't part of the deal" they're totally lying to you and you should take the cat anyways.

errr....yes? It's totally fine, it's been my main couch for a few years. The burn mark is not really that noticeable, you can see it in the zoomed out picture. The cover is entirely washable as well.

I am obviously playing up how bad it is, but I just don't want to pretend it's in pristine condition and have someone come and look at it and be disappointed.

If 50 is too high, feel free to make an offer if you need a basement couch!

If anyone needs a futon it's free to a CP'er. Gunna try for a couple more days before dealing with Kijiji.

Fuffalo - that second photo makes it seem like the burn is like 3 foot scar across someone's forehead. I get that you want to show it in detail but maybe show the burn in context first.

If you just want to get rid of it, just post it on the Ka-Jeege for Free. Watch with amazement the stream of people that will crawl out of the wood work for a free futon.

Ya I kind of get that. It looks like the burn is a huge ordeal. The largest "hole" is smaller than a dime, so it really isn't too big.

I really hate posting "free X" on Kijiji, because of all the responses :P I'll give it a few more days here, then I'll suck it up and go to kijiji :P

hey cut me some slack when I posted that the price tag was $50...I'm sure some students would like something like this for FREE. Hope it finds a good home!

If you end up going to kijiji ask 20 bucks for it, cause you are right, you don't want to deal with the calls you get when you list something for free.

Post it on Kijiji and then delete the ad 10 minutes later. That way you should only end up with a few Homers on your doorstep.
