Subforum closing, post requests here.
Going to close this subforum eventually, if there are threads that should be continued after that post them here and where you think it should be moved to.
Most would probably go to other sports, hockey could go into the FoI, and general ones could go into Off Topic.
MMF already suggested that the Calgary Olympic Bid thread go into OT, which makes sense.

Any thread not moved before the forum is closed is effectively deleted?

I'd like to see all the threads preserved, in the appropriate forums. Perhaps lock the GDTs, as is standard practice in FOI.

I wouldn't actually delete them, just move the subforum to a hidden place where it doesn't clutter up the place. I guess I could also dump all the threads except those put elsewhere into other sports.

Just started one about Russia's world reputation now that the games have closed. Very off-topic relevant I think.
Maybe I shoulda just put it in there, haha.

The entire 2010 Winter Olympics forum is in the other sports: football, baseball etc. That would be the best place for it. It is great to look back at these threads. http://forum.calgarypuck.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40&order=desc

Keep the forum going for a bit longer, say two weeks. I always have a little sadness when the Olympics are over because they are very entertaining and it is fun being in the Olympic bubble.

Have to agree with everyone, and I think the Olympic threads foster community. Preserving it somewhere locked/hidden sounds good to me, but might as well keep it open a bit longer while it's still fresh for discussion.

It's always nice to look back at the Vancouver 2010 opening ceremony thread. If there was a ceremony to have a drinking game for, that was it.

We should move this whole sub-forum to the off topic section. And make it a sub-forum there. Kind if like the technology AMD realty ones

Agreed on making a Sub Forum in the OT section.

Subforum of Other Sports though, since it's a sport related thing.
