Default Thank You for the Past Decade

I just wanted to send a quick note on the 10 year anniversary (well it was yesterday) of my joining this forum.

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years already. This is a site I check daily, use for not only Flames information but general news and discussions.

I love the varying opinions, and experiences here. I trust this site for information and advice on pretty much everything.

Hard to believe I've only met one poster in my 10 years posting here (although understandable given my location).

Here's to another 10, and a Flames championship in that time.

Thanks again.

I hadn't really thought of it, but wow. Ya, it's been a while. I fully agree with OP, this site has been so great for me.

Cheers to Bingo, CP, and all the posters!

I've been kind of thinking about this too. Kind of odd to realize that us 2004 bandwagoners are part of the old crowd now.

Not entirely a happy realization. But not too bad. It's been fun hanging around here.

I didn't know internet message boards even existed before the 2004 run.

It was actually a lot like it was today.

Soul crushing reality combined with over the top optimists telling us how our AHL team won the Calder Cup recently and that we're in a good position for the future.

Sprinkled in with people wondering how Rob Niedermayer ever managed to get 60 points in a single season.

Close to 8 years for me. Still wonder how far we have gone in the playoffs if Huselius hadn't hit the post late in game 6 in Anahiem,

I remember back in the day I tried over and over to open this website, but we had an emachines computer and AOL internet, and CP would never fully open, or I would have been one of the pre-2004 guys, lol. Then I finally found it again a couple of years later and lurked for a bit then signed up.

I remember being part of the alt. Flames email group. Can't remember the actual name but I am talking in the early years of the internet. Christ, I am getting old.
