Default January 27, six games.

It is a rare Monday doubleheader happening on

in the USA and both games

simulacast in Canada on

This is definitely the inferior game of the
doubleheader since the Sabres are last in the
standings. There will be lots of Olympic talk
with Miller, Crosby, and others going to Sochi.
The game is also on RDS2 in french.
Commentators are Kenny Albert and Joe Micheletti.

This is the better game. These Pacific Division
rivals are heading in opposite directions. The
Sharks have won six straight games while the
Kings have lost four in a row in regulation and
are now just one point ahead of the Canucks.
Commentators are Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda.

Big game here as these teams as Carolina is just one point behind
the BJs which is in a playoff spot. The Hurricanes have lost both
games so far this season.

This game will get many posts here. Both teams played
last night in their home rinks and won. The Canucks are one
point back of the Kings for third place in the Pacific Division.

The BJs are all over the Hurricanes since the opening faceoff. At 2:25 McKenzie scored and the Umberger 17 seconds later, 2-0 Columbus and it is 7-0 in shots eight minutes into the game.

Torty's still out, right? Should make for a good bad game.

In the second period, it is still 2-0 BJs and it is a 1-1 tie Bruins-Islanders.

Reilly Smith with his 17th of the year. Great job by the Bruins getting him included in the Seguin deal.

Yup Smith now has 39 points in 51 games. If Eriksson can get over his concussion issues this might be one of the best win-win trades in quite some time. Dallas gets a young Star player while the Bruins pick up some nice depth especially considering Joe Morrow and to a lesser extent Matt Fraser in the AHL

Oilers taking it to the canucks right now, interesting to see.

Edmonton's obviously feeling good about themselves after winning a game, and the canucks still are far too aggressive and it's biting them in the ass with Edmonton's forwards cherry-picking at the far blueline and getting some decent chances on the counter.

Not sure why the canucks insist on rushing four guys every time they have the puck. They haven't changed a thing since the beginning of the season strategy-wise.

Kassian is just trolling the hell out of the Oilers. Someone should just cross check him in the face. No one outside of Canucks fans would mind at all.

canucks just did a promo for the Heritage Classic advertising it as a "rematch" of the 1915 Stanley Cup final.

Goodness gracious they really aren't that bright.

I'm watching TSN and they just advertised the Sens/Van outdoor game as a rematch/anniversary of their "classic Stanley Cup final"

Is that not a total joke to anyone else? Neither ORG has a cup. Stop pretending they do

Know a lot of canucks "fans" here in B.C. who actually think the Millionaires just changed their name to the canucks and therefore have won the Cup.

One of the biggest problems with canucks fans is most of them are canucks fans not NHL fans.

But what does it say when they don't even know their own team?

They deserve to never win a Stanley Cup.

It kinda sounded like David Perron eluded to getting moved in his interview with Gene...?

Perron has been one of their best players this year ... it would totally be an Oilers move to trade him.
