23andMe Genetic Testing

I have been listening to StarTalk podcast, and this advertisement keeps coming up for 23andMe. The ads piqued my interest, and the cost is supposedly $99, so I was wondering if anybody has actually done the tests and whether it was useful or just a bunch of probabilities of this or that and up selling to learn other stuff.

Also, if you do the test and something shows up, are you basically screwed the next time you have to fill out the "pre-existing conditions" portion of a life insurance form.

Ah, well then... I guess this thread can be closed. Seems like people had the same concerns as me. I am still a bit concerned over the privacy... The marriage of Anne Wojcicki and Sergei Brin doesn't fill me with confidence that my genetic profile won't somehow be linked to my Google+ account in the future
