Default Thermostat and Humidifier
So, I am changing my thermostat but need one to control my humidifier as well.

It is surprisingly difficult to find one that will control both. Would anyone have any advice on what I should be looking for?

It is a GeneralAire humidifier.

i have a seperate controller for my humidifier.

it would be nice to have one controller for both

Go with a WIFI thermostat. If you don't work shift work and have a routine, go with the Nest 2.0. Since me and my GF are both shiftwork though are schedule is changing on a weekly basis so I have to settle for a lame balls plain jane wifi honeywell.

There's a thread in the tech talk forum. My review of the Gen 1 is in there. You wnat the 2nd gen one for controlling both.
