Default GONE! - Free Rodeo Package! Please read for details.

EDIT: well since the auction was a bust, we've decided to give these away, with a caveat: We'd like to see it go to someone affected by the flood or someone who was a volunteer superstar. If you know someone who is deserving, let me know. Oh and also, we're keeping the drink vouchers :P

VIP Calgary Stampede All-in Rodeo Package for the July 6th Rodeo

This is a great all-inclusive package! It has an approximate retail value of $550. The Rodeo is this Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 1:15 pm. It includes:

* Guaranteed Parking Pass (Lot 11)
* 2 Souvenir Program Vouchers

The concession food as part of this package will be served to you in your seats. A designated service staff member will take your food order from your seats. You can order as much off the menu as you like. Seat service is from 1 - 3 pm.

Thank-you for your time.

I'm not in Calgary so I can't bid for them, but just want to say you are doing a great thing by auctioning off this package and having the proceeds go to the Zoo's flood recovery

Thats a great gesture and goes to a great cause! I have no idea how the zoo is financially and whether they can afford to rebuild, but I'm sure that anything donated would be very much appreciated.

They're in pretty rough shape after the flooding. Laid off half of their staff the other day then laid off some more yesterday.

They were really just starting to get busy with the summer season and now their most profitable time of the year by far was literally washed away.

Just tweeted a link to the auction. Tagged a few folks in the hope that they spread the word.

Unfortunately, zero bid thus far. We even lowered the starting bid! We've plastered this everywhere we can think, but zero interest. I thought we'd at least get a few bids out of CP, what with all the members of the $100k club

I had a similar VIP package that I tried to sell in 2009, and it was very difficult trying to sell it, especially with all the competition from ticket sellers on Kijiji. If I recall, I originally asked $300, but ended up selling a couple hours before the event for about $175. A lot of people will wait until just a few hours before the event, and then low ball buyers for tickets, as buyers at that stage are desperate to sell. Your best chance to sell them is to sell them today, before low ballers jump in last minute tomorrow. You're likely going to have to adjust the price though.

Yeah, we just figured people would be eager to help out the Zoo. Timing might not be great though, as lots of people have already given money and time to other well deserving causes. We'll give it awhile yet and start looking at alternatives later in the day.

Do you happen to know if the seats in question are covered or not? If they're covered, be sure to mention that in the ad. Anything helps.

Seats are uncovered. Still zero bids. I think the time frame killed us on this, in that we should have kicked it off earlier. Thanks for checking it out, though!

Any of the guys here affected by the flooding - Dion, if someone could get a hold of him, since I'm starting to think his place was toast, since he hasn't been here since the flood, or Bigtime or Aeneas or any of the others that got hit.

As for people who helped - that's a wide swath here - awesome group of guys that were in the (very dirty) trenches - some amazing people. And, you offering this up for that purpose is pretty awesome too, woob. Good on ya.

Aeneas actually did not get hit. He'd be plenty deserving for other reasons, but his house was unaffected.
