While I'll be sad at his passing, the reality is that Mandela is 94 (95 next month). Given the time he spent in prison, it's remarkable he made it this long.
As someone of South African descent, I've been fascinated by his story ever since I was a kid. I'll always remember the first picture I saw of him after his release, standing next to then President DeKlerk. My parents cried because they never thought they would see him as a free man.
