Finland doesn't have a monarchy so the only time they we under monarchic rule was when Sweden controlled them. I'm not Finnish so Itse or the other Finns might be best to comment but when I lived there, the friends I made had a clear dislike of Swedes.
I'd liken it to a big brother little brother rivalry. I'd say the relationship would be like Canada vs US but on a smaller and therefore more "intimate" scale. Beating the Swedes at anything is a huge deal to The Finns. I also think the relationship may be different depending on the area of Finland you're from. Turku has a large population with Swedish and there are pockets in Helsinki. Swedish was also the official government language for a long time and Finland recognizes both languages. Packaging is in both languages.
Back to the topic I'd say there was pretty universal dislike of The Nazis and I heard the "you know they burned all of Lapland?" comment from people around the country.
