Dallas acquires players with ratings!

So kind of a big and totally unexpected afternoon in Dallas. We made two deals today with the Penguins and the Flyers.

Deal one happened as a result of my weekly visit from Goffie inquiring about a certain Habs forward...

Both deals were done very quickly. the Galchenyuk deal was accepted as offered (not sure if thats good or not..ha). Anyway, thanks to both GMs for the quick deals. pretty fair all around i think.

For Pittsburgh this was about thinning out our forward ranks. Although we were the highest scoring team in the league something obviously wasn't working when it came to playoffs so we are going with a new strategy heading into the off season.

I have nagged Turd insistently on a weekly basis since he drafted Galchenyuk who was atop my draft list even before he became a Hab. This was Turd's orginal offer of the day and although I was thinking that I would like one higher end player in their rather than the picks my love of the draft and the challenge to find some gems late in the first won out an I decided to not even ask for any replacement/.

Backstrom is a stud, but with Stamkos and Datsyuk down the middle I feel we will be fine and can hopefully continue to score goals.
