Sounds like a very minor issue. The Flames just want to play it safe, which is understandable considering how important Backlund is to this team right now.

Why is an injury report coming out after the season is over, and wth does "out" mean when there are no games to be played?

^^ He is RFA so there must be no implications in terms of contract or roster headcount, would it have anything to do about being ineligible for offer sheets? Not that I could see anyone singling him out unless they really wanted to jam the Flames for center depth, which seems bizarre
