And Phoenix is done. 40+ shots on Cam Ward and could only beat him once.

After ending a 7 year playoff drought we just could not get things going against the LA Kings. We feared this in our matchup thread as they had been a bigtime performer in the 2nd half of the season. Despite the sweep the games were very close aside from 1 game.

We look to rebound strong and return with a vengeance and now that we have some playoff experience under our belt can for next season.

Now that we have a roster built we can tinker easier for next season.

Congrats to the LA Kings.

Not happy with the result, obviously, or the effort. Changes will be made for tomorrow's game. The home team has won every game in the series.

Held the wings to 20 shots to turn this series into a best of 3.

well Flames lose 1-0 in OT and now have to win 3 in a row...with the way the scoring has dried up Im not so sure we can pull this off.
The Hawks have been playing very well.

Glad to get my first series win as a GM after a tough start to the season this year! Sucks that the series wasn't closer as I think this result does not do Sim's team justice.

He put together a great team this year and came out on the crap end of what we both was the worst possible match up for us.

Sorry for the sweep, but I'm not going to feel bad for too long :P I have a cup to win!

After 3 games of being held off the scoresheet, the defensive core stepped it up in this one as the forward units were shut down. Chara and Girardi with 2 points each, both earning star nominations. Cam Ward had a stellar game stopping 41 shots. Interesting note, only one PP goal was scored all series... and it was in this game.

Iggy leads the way as the Ducks sweep a tough Wild team. Important to get the win today as we have a few injuries (Suter, Talbot, Brodie) that could use the extra days of rest.

Geez, I thought I had till 4 today, been having problems getting to a computer with the file, as mine at home is on the fritz.

Guess I can turn mine in now, need to win three straight. :/

As for the game, what can I say? Looks like Howard crapped the bed.

We couldn't hold onto a late 3rd period lead AGAIN. Even worse we lose Cooke for the remainder of the series.

Sabres win as the homer series continues. Well deserved victory as the outplayed the Isles in the 3rd and OT. Matt Lombardi, at the verge of being benched after going -4 in the first 3 games was instead promoted to line 2 and scored 2 points. Pominville continues to be red hot; Konopka with 17 PIM and a point in his 2nd game of the series.

Nice to even up the series, now who starts, the hot hand in Poulin or the steady Crawford?

Obviously pleased with the series thus far. Trying to keep the team focused on the task at hand and not provide any bulletin board material for the Flames.

A win by the Flames in game 5 and they are back in the series with momentum on their side.
