Default All of your first rounders are belong to us.

Love this approach by Feaster in a very deep draft.

How many more can we possibly get?

Would Gio fetch a first?

Glencross?

Stempniak?

It would be amazing to have 4 or more first rounders.

Gio/Glencross would each get a first round pick imo

Could you imagine getting Barkov + Gauthier + Mueller in the 1st round this year. That would get us 2 awesome centers and a good defenseman.

Kiprusoff is probably a late 1st if you can convince people he's going to come back.

I see no point in keeping Cammalleri and especially Stempniak now.

Get picks now and let's get this rebuild over ASAP.

I love the title. What are you plans for Y2K?

Seriously though, I wouldn't that upset if the St. Louis pick doesn't happen until 2014. I think staggering a rebuild is important with the cap and stuff. You don't want to risk having all these guys coming up for contracts at the same time if you can help it (and that assumes we actually pick well with them).

how deep is this draft? I have heard conflicting reports that it is not too deep outside the top 5, top 10, first round. I am hoping it is a deep first round but there is a legit chance we don't get the Blues pick until 2014. If they make it I am hoping for 8th seed and first round loss

Hopefully 2 more.

then we pick 2, 16, 20, 22, 30

and move 16, 20, 30 for #3.

get drouin & mackinnon and still have 22 overall

With the rumours of Glencross being looked at by Ottawa and other teams I expect us to have at least 1 more 1st rounder by Wednesday

I think Kipper will get a conditional 1st as well

It's going to be an exciting draft this year

All of the top 4 would've been #1 overall picks in the past couple years. They're all that good. The 5-10 guys aren't far off that, and would be guys that would be taken in the 3-7 range. The 11-30 guys are better than last year's and are slightly above average in comparison to the last 4 drafts. After that it's about on par with the 2010 draft.

Huge lottery outside of the top 8...and right now Calgary has two picks outside of that range.

I really, really, REALLY want to be optimistic...

As much as we are all getting caught up in the circus with everyone being traded, I don't think Gio being traded was ever realistic. Even if we wanted to, the whole buy high/sell low line of thinking would ensure a pretty crappy return with his play this year.

I know for years and years Ive wished we would have 2 or 3 picks, as well as picking in the top 3 or 5. I remember when Colorado had 4 1st rounders, Tanguay, Skoula, Regehr and Parker. Not to shabby considering there are other guys from that year who went in the first and never made it.

I can see it now, we're going to load up and centers over the next couple years and we'll spend the next 15 years trying to find a legitimate 1st line winger to play with our franchise center...

Gio isn't going anywhere. I doubt Glencross is going to get traded seeing he is now our best goal scorer and we do need offense for a rebuilding team. Doubt Stajan and Stempniak go anywhere seeing how we are low on natural center's and right handed right wings. I say Either one of Tangs or Cammalleri and Kipper are the only ones who get dealt. there's a couple second rounder right there.

That was a really good draft for them.

The chances are, with 4 picks distributed in the 1st, you will draft at least one dud.
